Five members of the Centura High School speech team earned the right to compete at the NSAA State Championship meet after competing at the C1-5 District meet held at Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday, March 18. As a team, the Centurions placed third overall.
After a season filled with great performances and recognitions, members of the Shelton speech team finished up the regular competition at the D1-4 District meet held at Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday, March 18. At the district meet, senior Justine Pope qualified for state competition in Extemporaneous speaking.
Paul Siebert: Musicman will be closing out the Celebrate Wood River Performing Arts season on Monday, April 7, at 7:00 p.m. A school assembly has been scheduled for earlier in the day.
The Wood River Area Community Choir, in their 22nd year, will be presenting a cantata titled, “What Wondrous Hope” on Sunday, April 6, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 408 West 11th Street in Wood River.
Eleventh year Wood River head boys golf coach Jon Kuecker will field a team full of veterans and high expectations when the season kicks off in early April.
