Gibbon’s Lady Buffalo volleyball team played host for a pair of triangulars last week, the first featured teams from Nebraska Christian and Elba on Tuesday, September 2, and the second included Sandhills/ Thedford and Ravenna on Thursday, September 4.
The season opened for the Gibbon Lady Buffalo golfers at the Kearney Catholic Invitational held at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course on Thursday, August 28. As a team, the Gibbon ladies finished the day with a score of 542 for 12th place among the twelve competing teams.

The Wood River Eagle football team scored in all four quarters of their season opener on the road at Centura on Thursday, August 28, on their way to a nice 27-6 victory.
