The Shelton Youth Track Club hosted its track meet with thirty-four participants on Wednesday, April 26. This club is offered to second through sixth graders and provides training and running form, block work, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus and much more. The hope is to develop better all-around athletes, garner interest in track and field, and provide another opportunity for Shelton youth. Shelton tracksters participate at Kenesaw Invite and then bring home hardware from the Twin Valley Conference track and field meet
Both the Gibbon girls and boys track and field teams took on the best athletes the Lou-Platte Conference had to offer at the conference meet held at St. Paul on Friday, April 28.
Gibbon’s boys track and field team finished the Kenesaw Invitational in second place with 86 points behind the host Blue Devils with 119 points on Monday, April 24, while the Lady Buffaloes finished the day in fourth place with 82 points.
