Gibbon senior and lone qualifier for the NSAA Class C State Track and Field Championships Emma Kucera, ran in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles at Burke Stadium in Omaha. The state meet was held Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20. Emma finished the 100 meter hurdles in 12th place overall with a time of 16.31 seconds and was 15th in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.34 seconds. (—photo by Steve Glenn)

The eight Centura track and field athletes who qualified to compete at the NSAA State Track and Field Championships made a good showing and represented their school and communities well at the meet held at Burke Stadium in Omaha on Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20. Jason Fanta, Cayden Anderson, Sydney Davis, Kyra Wooden, Keaton Lemburrg, Bladen Garcia and Calvin Zimmerman were Centura’s representatives.

Harrison Oberg and Courtney Dimmitt were Wood River Rural High Schools’ representatives at the NSAA State Track and Field Championships held at Burke Stadium in Omaha on Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20. Oberg competed in the triple jump and 300 hurdles and Dimmitt in the shot put, both in Class C.
