Wood River’s girls wrestling team posted a shut out in their dual against Central City on Thursday, January 11, by a 72-0 score.
The Central City Bison boys wrestling team defeated the Wood River boys in a dual, hosted by Wood River, held on Thursday, January 11, 65-12.
Shelton junior and senior high students recently received Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy essay awards. The Patriots Pen essay contest and the Voice of Democracy essay contest are sponsored by Kearney VFW Post 759 and Auxiliary.
A busy post holiday schedule greeted the Wood River girls basketball team as they played two back-to-back games on their home court, one against Amherst on Tuesday, January 2, and the second against Arcadia/Loup City on Thursday, January 4, before making their way to Ravenna to face the Lady Bluejays on Friday, January 5.
The potent Shelton Bulldog offense outpaced the Gibbon Buffaloes, 75-46, on Tuesday, January 2, in a battle between the undefeated Bulldogs and the one win Buffaloes on the court in Gibbon.
