On Friday, January 5, the Shelton Lady Bulldogs welcomed Twin Valley Conference (TVC) opponent Deshler to town for a rematch of the TVC championship game from last season.
Isac Tamayo led the Gibbon boys wrestling team to a fifth place finish with his own second place finish at the Amherst Invitational on Saturday, January 6. Amherst won the 17-team meet.
The Gibbon boys wrestling team won two of five duals at the Wood River Holiday Duals on Friday, December 29, led by four-win days recorded by Kreyton Rockefeller and Aiden Middleswart.
The holiday basketball tournament looked a little different this year for the Shelton Lady Bulldogs, as they participated in the Ravenna Holiday Tournament this year, on both Friday, December 29, and Saturday December 30, after spending the holidays at the Silver Lake Tournament for the last several years.
Centura’s girls basketball team took down host Sandy Creek, 52-41, in the first round of the Sandy Creek Holiday Tournament on Friday, December 29, but fell victim to Howells-Dodge in the tournament’s championship game the following day, 40-51, to finish in second place.
