June Elizabeth Watson, age 96, formerly of Wood River, passed peacefully from her earthly life on December 30, 2020, at Brookstone View Nursing Home in Broken Bow. A family service was held on Tuesday, January 5, with Reverend Trudy Hanke officiating. Burial was in the Wood River Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Wood River United Methodist Church.
Mervin Glen Brown, age 84, of Lodi, California, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020. Services were held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Colonial Rose Chapel in Stockton, California. Interment followed at Park View Cemetery in Manteca, California.
Jim Jacobs, age 93, of Shelton, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with Pastor Dean Pofahl officiating. Interment will follow at Kearney Cemetery with military honors provided by the Gibbon American Legion Post #310 in conjunction with the Nebraska National Guard Honors Team. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today (Thursday) at the funeral home.

Robert G. “Bob” Vohland, age 92, of Gibbon, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Brookfield Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in St. Paul. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church in Kearney with Reverend Clint Cozier officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery.
