Wade Alan Meyer, age 33, of Grand Island, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. A funeral service was held Monday, January 8, at Third City Christian Church in Grand Island. Minister Josh Sikes officiated and burial was held at Grand Island City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date. Mervin Lyle Schweitzer, age 81, of Cairo, was received into the Lord’s arms on Sunday, December 24, 2023, surrounded by his family at Regional Medical Center in Grand Island.
Janell Macek
Janell Marie Macek, age 68, of Gibbon, passed away December 25, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. The Funeral Mass was held Friday, December 29, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Art Faesser as celebrant.
William “Bill” O’Brien
William “Bill” O’Brien, age 82, formerly of Shelton, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan, Kansas. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Thursday, December 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery near Wood River. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
