Karen Lou Perry passed away on April 7, 2026, after a recent illness. She was born in 1933 in Aurora to Vernon and Florence Hagarity and was the youngest of three sisters. As a young girl, Karen moved to Beatrice where she graduated from high school. In 1952, she was attending college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln when she met Richard Perry at a summer picnic. They fell in love and were married six months later in Gibbon. Together they created and raised a family of three sons and a daughter and were married for 68 years.

Phyllis “RayDean” Lyons, age 90, of Gibbon, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Donald Rodriguez, age 91, of Shelton, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Edgewood Vista Home in Grand Island.
