Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 8, at Christ Lutheran Church, Cairo, with Reverend Brian L. Wright officiating. Burial followed at Berwick Cemetery, Cairo. Richard J. “Rick” Keefer, age 70, of Gibbon, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton with Father Josh Brown officiating. Burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa, at a later date.
