Kathryn Bishop

Kathryn “Kathy” Bishop, age 62, of Gibbon, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Kathy was born October 26, 1962, to Gary and Joan (Krug) House in Springfield, Illinois. Her family lived in various parts of the country before settling in Kearney. She was a graduate of Kearney High School and Kearney State College. Kathy worked as a dietician until her retirement.

She was married to Bill Bishop on August 4, 1984, and they had two boys, Nathan and Zachary. Her favorite things to do were gardening, baking, and canning things that she sold at the Kearney farmers markets, which she was a vendor for over 30 years.

She is survived by her sons; and her sister, Kim Brown, of New York.
