The Gibbon Independence Day celebration was once again a well attended event on Monday which included the annual parade. Despite the continued rise in costs to hold the annual Shelton fireworks show, the community has stepped up for another year of funding. The Give Where You Live campaign held in December has been the big donation drive that gives the fund the kick start, with other donations in June and July picking up the rest of the costs.
