Gibbon High School proudly celebrated FBLA Week with a series of activities designed to recognize educators, engage students, and highlight the impact of the school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter.
The Maxwell Lady Wildcats ended the season for the Gibbon Lady Buffaloes and eliminated them from the C2-9 Subdistrict Tournament at Sandy Creek High School on Monday, February 16, by a score of 76-34.
Members of the Shelton High School speech team competed in the Grand Island Central Catholic Speech Invitational on Friday, February 13; the Minden Whippet Invitational on Saturday, February 14; and the Elm Creek Varsity Speech Meet on Saturday, February 21.
Ivan Tamayo finished as runner up at 138 pounds and led the six-member contingent of Gibbon grapplers that battled the best Class C wrestlers in the state at the 2026 NSAA State Wrestling Championships on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 19, 20 and 21.
Shelton junior Dominick Larraga turned in a 4-1 showing and a bronze medal finish at the 2026 NSAA State Wrestling Championships on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 19, 20 and 21. The meet was held at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
