The 2013 Shelton/Gibbon Juniors team is the newest group to enter the Shelton Baseball Hall of Fame. This group of young men placed second in the 2013 Class C American Legion State Tournament.
The Gibbon City Council worked through a number of agenda items at its Monday, November 25, regular meeting which included moving to approve an increase in residential garbage collection rates and Gibbon Mayor Deb VanMatre presenting a “State of the City” report for the council and residents.
Everyone is invited to come to Gibbon to experience the enchanting “Magic of a Small Town Christmas” during the Third Annual Christmas in the Park in Gibbon, sponsored by the City of Gibbon, this Saturday, December 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Wood River Area Community Choir will be presenting a cantata titled, “A World Of Christmas,” on Sunday, December 15, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 408 11th Street in Wood River. The cantata was created and arranged by Joseph M. Martin and the music orchestrated by Brant Adams. The current Wood River Area Community Choir was organized in the fall of 2002 by Vincent Boudreau, its director.
