This Christmas season, the Shelton Goodfellows continue to prepare to help those who are struggling during this time of year.
The Wood River FFA Chapter showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the District Leadership Development Events (LDEs) held recently at Sumner-Eddyville-Miller School. Competing against strong contenders from across the district, Wood River FFA members brought home a variety of awards and recognitions.
You are invited to ring in the season this Sunday, December 8, at Merry and Bright, downtown Shelton’s magical holiday event. Presented by the Shelton Area Lions Club, this community celebration promises something for kids of all ages from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

A winning track program begins with a variety of athletes and the Shelton girls 2010 team had just that. Speed, stamina, and endurance made this team a champion or runner-up in every meet they entered during the season, culminating with the Class C state runner-up trophy. This group was the beginning of a strong era in the girls track program, and is now a part of the Shelton Athletic Hall of Fame, Class of 2024.
