The Wood River High Class of 1955 gathered at Valentinos in Grand Island on Saturday, June 5, for lunch, laughs and reminiscing. Gibbon Ponies off to hot start

The Gibbon Pony League baseball team, which includes athletes from Shelton, began the 2021 season with a big win on May 7 and have, thus far into the season, recorded a winning record. The team has games scheduled into July.

Gibbon Independence Day plans coming together

Plans are coming together for Gibbon’s Independence Day celebration. The theme for the parade this year ties in with the Gibbon 150th anniversary celebration, “With pride on our history we move toward our future. ” Parade grand marshals this year is the Gibbon Heritage Center Board of Directors.

Fun Fourth in Shelton is in the fireworks

Shelton is gearing up for the annual Independence Day celebration with the staple events already in place. July Fourth activities begin at 8:00 a.m. with the 12th Annual Shelton Stampede Run/Walk, and culminates with the fireworks show at dusk.
