Bockstadters to celebrate 50th anniversary

The family of Ron and Kay Bockstadter are requesting a card shower in honor of the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary on October 29. Cards can be sent to 15090 W. Guenther Rd., Wood River, NE 68883. Ron Bockstadter and Kay Fairbanks were married during an ice storm at First Methodist Church in Hastings, but that didn’t deter the wedding. Over the 50 years, a family grew. Jenny and her husband, Andy, live in the Kansas City area. They have two children, Abby and Adam. Chad and his wife, Lucy, live in the Saint Louis area with their two children, Tori and Zoe. Ron and Kay love spending time with all of them and are willing to drive to many grandkid sporting events. The Missouri family will be returning to Nebraska to help Ron and Kay celebrate a few weeks after their actual anniversary.

Robert and Sharon (Young) Schanou were married on Sunday, August 15, 1971, at the First Presbyterian Church in Pender. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Bob and Sharon have two children and five grandchildren, Nathaniel (his wife Kristi and Brooklynn, Maks, and Caitlin) and Barb (and her husband Brandon and Brayden and Bennett).
