Richard Odell Perry, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on July 7, 2020, from COVID-19, just 12 days from his 90th birthday.

Wilma Jean Mayfield, age 90, of Shelton, died Monday, July 6, 2020, at her home. Private family graveside service will be held at the Shelton Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled for a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family. On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, Wendell R. Pedersen passed away peacefully from pneumonia due to Acute Myloid Leukemia (AML), just 12 days after his 63rd birthday. His wife, Meg was right beside him holding his hand and they were surrounded by the nurses and staff on duty who had cared for Wendell over the eight months he’d received treatment from the BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) Unit, 5 South, Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, whom he affectionately called “The Fighting 5th.”
