Corrine E. Mc-Cartney, formerly of Wood River, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, in Elizabeth City, Sharlene Brand, age 88, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at The Manor at Lake Jackson, Sebring, Florida. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 17, at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Interment was held at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon. Douglas Robert Moss, born July 9,1960, in Grand Island, to Robert and Patricia Moss, passed away peacefully at Memorial Community Care in Aurora after a courageous 20 year battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia.

Harvey Eugene Hadenfeldt, age 84, of Wood River, passed away on December 1, 2025, at Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln from complications following surgery. Funeral services were held Monday, December 8, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cairo.
