Myrtle M. Halkyard, age 93, of Gibbon, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Faith United Church in Gibbon. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today, Thursday, January 2, at the church.
Renee L. Mayo, age 62, of Grand Island, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home. A celebration of life will be held 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025, at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.
Linda Lea Greene, age 75, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away, Friday, December 20, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services for Linda were held Friday, December 27, at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, Iowa. Interment followed services in the Carlisle City Cemetery.
Ellen J. Luehr, of Omaha, passed on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, at Country House Memory Care Facility in Omaha. After an arduous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, she is now at peace with her Lord. Memorial services were held Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Pastor Don Pobanz officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
