Musicians from Clipper Country were among those recently named to the LouPlatte All-Conference Band. Musicians from Gibbon, Wood River Rural, and Centura high schools were part of that honorary band.
At its regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 9, the Gibbon City Council moved to adopt the City of Gibbon 2020 Housing Study which was done so that the city could access LB 518 Rural Workforce Housing funds and would allow the Economic Development Council of Buffalo County to use their grant processes to continue to work with the city to encourage building housing in the community. The Economic Development Council of Buffalo County paid for half of the $50,000 study.

With a southern style, and festive serving crew, the Sideboard Cafe is open for business in Wood River. Sandy Clark (middle), and her service staff of Gloria (at left), and Mary, offer a wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on the menu. Sandy, who is originally from Florida, says, “We offer great food with a southern twist.” The cafe has been open since March 2, offering meals beginning at 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Sunday hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Take-out and delivery is being offered by calling 583-2323. With the current COVID-19 health situation, take-out or delivery is preferred. Deliveries are only available in the community of Wood River.
