Shelton FFA members earn trip to state

A good number of Shelton FFA members earned a ticket to state competition after the dust settled at the FFA Leadership Development Events held on Monday, December 14, at Aurora. Justine Pope, Jaylea Pope, Taylor Lewis, Kellen Gegg, Brianna Simmons, Skyler Summers, and Jett Reilly qualified for state competition.

Justine Pope qualified for state with her second place purple ribbon in Junior High Discovery Speaking. Kaycee Tompkin received a purple ribbon in the same event and placed fourth. In Discovery Speaking, members present a prepared speech to judges on a topic relevant to the agriculture industry.
