Mustangs need OT to get past Centura boys; Swedes fall to Centurions

In the past week Centura’s boys basketball team spent a considerable amount of time on the road. First came a visit with the Mustangs at Sutton Tuesday, January 5, a trip that was followed by a journey to Gothenburg as guests of the Swedes on Saturday, the 9th.

At Sutton, with the scoreboard showing a pair of 46’s when the fourth-quarter buzzer sounded, Centura’s basketball game at Sutton needed an overtime period to determine the winner of the contest. The Centurions tallied eight points in that time frame, but the home-court Mustangs won it by getting 13, claiming the 59-54 win.
