Shelton FFA competes in District LDEs
On December 12, members of the Shelton FFA Chapter competed in District Leadership Development Events (LDEs) in Ravenna. These events ranged from Parliamentary Procedure to speeches, and employment skills, but all of them had one common theme, building the skills necessary to become a successful leader. Overall the Shelton Chapter did very well in their competition.
The results from the events were as follows: Luryn Hendrickson, Senior Public Speaking, third; Addison Muhlbach, Natural Resources Speaking, first and advancing to state; Jaylea Pope, Junior Public Speaking, third; Jacob Snyder, Junior Public Speaking, fourth; Taylor Lewis, Creed Speaking, Blue Ribbon; Callee Carman, Career Pathways Poster Speaking, first and advancing to state; Anna Palmer, Employment Skills, Purple Ribbon; Leroy Garcia, Employment Skills, Blue Ribbon; and the Conduct of Chapter Meeting team receiving a blue ribbon. In addition to this, the junior high quiz bowl team competed, but eliminated in the third round.
