Lila Jean Rieks, age 86, of Gibbon, died at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, February 20, 2020. A private family memorial and inurnment service will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Iowa Falls, Iowa, at a later date. Memorials can be designated to Arc of Buffalo County in Kearney or the Gibbon Faith United Methodist Church. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.
Shirley Mae (Webster) Bell, age 76, of Kearney, left her earthly body Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney. Memorial services were held Saturday, February 22, at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with Pastor Dean Pofahl officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Evelyn C. Vohland, age 91, of Gibbon, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at Brookefield Park in St. Paul. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 12, at First Presbyterian Church in Kearney with Reverend Nancy Tuma officiating. Interment in Gibbon’s Riverside Cemetery.
