A. Rojane Catlin, age 81, of Kearney, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Mother Hull Home in Kearney. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, at Faith United Church in Gibbon. Pastor Mike Evans and Lay Minister Linda Keiper will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to Faith United Church in Gibbon. Rojane Catlin was born March 3, 1938, near Gibbon, to Carl and Minnie (Osborne) Rasmussen. Rojane attended Gibbon Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1956. On August 19, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ronald Catlin at the Methodist Church in Gibbon. Rojane was a longtime employee of the City of Gibbon, spending 25 years as the utility clerk. Rojane was a lifetime member of Faith United Church and was active in several church committees, including Methodist Women. She was also a longtime member of the Gibbon Fire Department Auxiliary and Mrs. Jaycee’s. Rojane loved playing cards and the relationships she made while doing so over the years. She enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Ron Catlin, of Kearney; children, Daniel (Kay) Catlin, of Kearney, Lisa (Mark) DeBord, of North Platte, and Lori (Rusty) Nichols, of Kearney; grandchildren, Amber Piller, Nicole Hull, Brandy Luce, Brittney Stenger, Kristin Nichols, and Seth Catlin; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Charles) Prescott, of Lincoln, Verla (Tom) Walker, of Stafford, Texas, and Linda Grassmeyer, of Kearney; brother-in-law, Larry Fruhling, of Broken Bow; step-brother, Roger (Pat) Standage, of Ravenna; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. Rojane was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl Rasmussen; sisters, Dolores Rasmussen and Janis Fruhling; stepfather, Roy Standage; and one great-granddaughter, Livia Hull.
