Joni Brandt, age 53, of Minden, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Joni was born March 23, 1966, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Alexander and Delma (Randall) Zipp. She met the love of her life, Steven Brandt in 2002. The couple moved to Dallas, Texas, in 2003 and later to Minden in 2009. On May 13, 2015, Joni and Steven were united in marriage in Minden. Joni had a passion for drawing, painting and writing poetry. She also had a passion for her Lord and savior, and her faith in him never wavered. She enjoyed gardening and loved all animals, especially birds. Joni was a long-time member of the Writers Village University. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steven Brandt, of Minden; son, Adam Zipp, of Kearney; stepdaughter, Brenna Noller, of Kearney; “daughter,” Sarah Pennnoyer, of Baltimore, Maryland; mother, Delma Zipp, of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers, Joseph Zipp, of Tennessee, Tom Zipp, John (Veronica) Zipp, and Michael (Karen) Zipp, all of Baltimore, Maryland; sister, Terri Bruns, of Baltimore, Maryland; sister-in-law, Bobbi (Mike) Gangwish, of Gibbon; brothers- in-law, Brad (Cindy) Brandt, of Axtell, and Kevin (Amanda) Brandt, of Phoenix, Arizona; and mother-inlaw, Lois Brandt of Gibbon; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Joni was preceded in death by her father; son, Christopher Zipp; and daughter, Astri Celia Brandt.
