Independence Day plans set for Smile City

Final information sought on Shelton July 4 activities

Plans for Gibbon’s 2019 Independence Day celebration are in place and will be presented this year with the theme “Gibbon Strong” and this year’s grand marshals will be Bill and Deloris Foster.

Parade line-up is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. at Rosen Park (southwest corner of Gibbon near the old high school football field and track). Judging of parade entries begins at 8:00 and ends at 9:00 a.m. Entrants must be lined up and ready before 9:00 to be eligible for judging. The parade is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.

The Open Door Fellowship will offer hot dogs and bottles of water while supplies last beginning at 9:30 a.m. and will host the God Mobile.
