Incumbent VanMatre faces Pearson for Gibbon mayor

Two candidates for mayor of Gibbon will face voters on the November 3 general election ballot, incumbent Deborah VanMatre and challenger Johnathan Pearson. In an effort to aid voters in making an informed decision when voting, both candidates were asked identical questions with their answers published below.

Deborah VanMatre


Retired, employed part-time with Gibbon Public Schools as the accompanist for the vocal music department. Previous full-time employment included General Manager of Nebraska Turkey Growers Cooperative and Constituent Services – Agricultural Liaison for Congressman Adrian Smith.
