First Class Delivery

Members of the Good Samaritan Hospital Air Care helicopter crew out of Kearney made a special landing at Shelton Saturday morning. The crew touched down in the outfield of the Shelton ball field at around 10:00 a.m. and conducted a class for the Shelton Fire and Rescue personnel. The class covered when Air Care should be called for assistance, determining and preparing a safe landing zone, communications with the helicopter crew prior to landing, and how to prepare a patient for transport. After the Shelton members completed their training, the public was given a tour of the helicopter. (—photos by Steve Glenn)
