The “oldest” Jim Riley (at right) is celebrating his 80th birthday on Thursday, September 10. Jim’s family includes his wife, Sharon; children, Jim and Karen Riley, Julie Padgett, Linda Riley, and Lisa and Nick Zwiebel; and grand children, Rebecca and Jimmy Riley, Ashley, Kelsey and Lindsey Padgett, Paige Kuhn, and Ethan, Austin and Ava Zwiebel. The family of Jeff and Pat Westberg are requesting a card shower in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary. Jeff Westberg and Pat Hyke were married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelton on August 23, 1980. The couple lives and farms south of Shelton. Their family includes their children, Wyatt and Peggy (Lewis) Westberg, of Gibbon, and Jon and Kirstin (Westberg) Bowling, of Wood River; and four grandchildren, Lucas Westberg, Kenzie Westberg, Evie Bowling, and Kleo Mae Bowling. A card shower has been requested in honor of Rod and Pearl Johnson’s 50th wedding anniversary. Rod Johnson and Pearl Dethlefs were married on August 1, 1970. Their family includes their daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Neil Petty Jr., and four grandchildren, Tanner, Cody, Breanna, and Dillon. There will be a special drive-by for them on Saturday, August 1, at their house at 2:00 p.m. Please meet at the Wood River Fire Station at 1:30 p.m. so the group can travel together to arrive at the couple’s house at 2:00.
