Veda Thomsen, age 99, of Kearney, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Wel-life Assisted Living in Kearney. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Kevin Thomsen, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Einer Thomsen and wife, Susan, of Omaha, and Bernard Thomsen and wife, Nancy, of Shawnee, Kansas; daughters, Sandra Parker and husband, Steve, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jean Sidwell and husband, Scott, of Kearney, Christine Krakel and husband, John, of Red Feather Lake, Colorado, Davine Meza and husband, Ygnacio, of Elkhorn, and Decca Gard and husband, Rusty, of Fort Worth, Texas; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Messersmith; sisters-inlaw, Luella Glaze and Frances Amstuz; as well as, several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Veda was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Rachel (Hall) Amstuz; husband, Robert Thomsen; son, Oscar Knud Thomsen; daughter, Linda Beery; grandsons, Christian Thomsen, Jaimeson Meza, and Cameron Parker; granddaughter, Brianne Meza; three brothers; and three sisters.
