Sandra E. Hoffman

Sandra E. Hoffman, age 82, of Kearney, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Mother Hull Home of Kearney. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Sandra was born March 10, 1942, in Grand Island to George and Evelyn (Parr) Wyman. She grew up in Shelton and graduated from Shelton High School with the class of 1959. Sandra earned her nursing degree in 1962. Sandra was united in marriage to Dale Hoffman in Shelton in 1964 and the couple later divorced in 1980.

Sandra worked at Grand Island Veterans Home as a nurse and later as the director of nursing. She also worked for the State of Nebraska and as a private consultant in health care until her retirement in 2009.

She enjoyed golfing and painting and fulfilled a life-time dream of traveling to Europe and visiting seven countries.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scott (Shani) Hoffman, of Minden, Jeff (Cherise) Hoffman, of Georgia, and Deborah Hoffman, of Kearney; grandchildren, Tyler and Tiffany Hoffman, Savannah Hoffman, Keaton Hoffman and fiancé Tori, and Suzette and Devin Bell; great-grandson, Cooper; sister, Judi Hendrickson, of Gibbon; as well as nephews; great-niece and greatnephews; and several extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn Wyman; older sister, Penny Wyman; and brother-in-law, Lynn Hendrickson.
