Phyllis “RayDean” Lyons

Phyllis “RayDean” Lyons, age 90, of Gibbon, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 15, at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney.

Interment will followed at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.

RayDean was born July 4, 1935, in Lowell, to George Jason and Clara Marie (Cullip) Lyons.

She was raised near Lowell and attended country school in the area. RayDean began her career at the Good Samaritan Home in Gibbon as a CNA and cook. She later cooked for several other businesses in the area. RayDean later retired from the Gibbon Turkey Plant.

RayDean loved to color and to play cards. She was known for her cooking and baking. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Russell (Karen) Ash, Don (Rhonda) Ash, and Pam (Kris) Warrington, all of Gibbon; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

RayDean was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie Ash; and several siblings.
