Michael T. Costello

Michael T. Costello, age 70, of Gibbon, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Per Michael’s wishes, a private ceremony will take place.

Michael was born May 10, 1952, in Grand Island to Edward and Margaret Costello. He graduated high school in Hastings and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile.

Despite the pain, Michael remained a great husband, father, and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Debra; sons, Sean Chism and Thomas Costello; daughterin- law, Kylee; granddaughter, Karlee; sisters, Kathleen Schatzberg, Linda and Bill Gilgrin, and Sue and Bill Freisen; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
