Leona M. Cline

Leona M. Cline, age 74, of Gothenburg, passed Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Leona was born March 19, 1947, in Kearney to Donald and Dolly (Lowell) Gearhart. She was raised in Gibbon and received her education from Gibbon High School.

In 1964, Leona was united in marriage to Kenneth “Mick” Cline. Leona began her career at Baldwin Filters in Kearney. In 1992, she moved to Gothenburg where she continued at Baldwin Filters until her retirement after 39 years. Following her retirement, Leona worked at Dollar General for several years.

She enjoyed, gardening, crafting, fishing, camping and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mick Cline, of Gothenburg; daughters, Rhonda (Pat) Larson and Dawn (Les) Harding, all of Gothenburg; grandchildren, Haley (Steve) Keck, Christopher (Stephanie) Otterstein, Trevor Otterstein, and Samantha Otterstein; great-grandchildren, Caiden Otterstein and Myles Sharp; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Crystal Jo; and her brothers, Dale, Donald, Jr., and Howard Gearhart.
