Jeanine “Jeanie” Marie Lemburg

Jeanine “Jeanie” Marie Lemburg, age 94, of Osceola, formerly of Boelus, left this world peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, while listening to the comforting hymn “Sweet Hour of Prayer” at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.

Private Graveside Services were held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Boelus. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www. jacobsengreenway.com.

Jeanie was born on December 9, 1930, to Glen and Fern (Whitefoot) Boesen in Boelus where she was raised and educated. She embarked on a new journey on December 29, 1947, as she married Alvin Lemburg in St. Paul. With dedication and passion, she devoted many years to the cafeteria at Centura Public School, nurturing the community around her. Her adventurous spirit shone through her love for traveling, and horse racing, while her cherished moments at the cabin by the lake and dancing reflected her zest for life. She always gave hugs to anyone that she would meet. She had a love for babysitting children in the Boelus area that she considered to be her own grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her life include her daughters and sonsin- law, Connie and Rich Snyder, of Grand Island, and Kathy and Don Schweitzer, of Cairo; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Michelle Lemburg, of Gordon, Glen “Herman” and Brenda Lemburg, of Osceola, David Lemburg of Boelus, and Mark and Deb Lemburg, of Cairo; 20 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; six great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren on the way.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson, Michael Lemburg.
