Eulah M. Gangwish

Eulah M. Gangwish, age 82, of Kearney, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Country House Assisted Living in Kearney.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, March 13, at Kearney First Baptist Church with Pastor Mark DeKluyver officiating. The service will be live streamed through kearneyfb.org. Prior inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.

Eulah was born September 7, 1943, in Kearney to Earl and Wanola (Bissell) Clark.

She was raised in Gibbon and received her education from Gibbon High School, graduating in 1961. On August 4, 1964, Eulah was united in marriage to Alexander Gangwish. This marriage was blessed with three children. Eulah worked as the secretary and together they owned and operated Gangwish Turf for many years.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and was involved in many areas of ministry as she lived a faithful walk with Christ. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her circle of friends. Upon their retirement, they enjoyed many years of traveling around the country and abroad while visiting family and friends. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

All to whom she encouraged a faithful walk with Christ.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alex Gangwish, of Kearney; children, Theresa (Ed) Hemenway, of Sumner, Denisa Carden, of Gibsonville, North Carolina, and Becky (Cory) Halliwell, of Elm Creek; five grandchildren, Jessica (Jimmy), of Augusta, Kansas, Kayla (Ryan), of Rose Hill, Kansas, Jacob (Kristin), of Wichita, Kansas, Devon (Lexi), of Elm Creek, and Madison, of Chandler, Arizona; 7 ½ greatgrandchildren; siblings, Evelyn (Steve) Jones, of Kansas City, Missouri, Don (Mary) Clark, of Thorton, Colorado, and Bill (Terri) Clark, of Johnson Lake; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Eulah was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dick (Karen) Clark and Bob Clark.
