Dolores L. Williams

Dolores L. (Hadenfeldt) Williams, age 97, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026.

Service and a celebration of Dolores’ life was held Monday, April 6, at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. Burial followed at Shelton Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Dolores was born on September 14, 1928, in rural Shelton, St. Michael area on the Hadenfeldt Homestead, to George “Pat” and Nellie (Pope) Hadenfeldt. She attended District 51 and Zion Lutheran Schools and graduated from the eighth grade there. She graduated from Shelton High School in 1946.

Dolores was united in marriage to Frank “Bud” Williams on March 9, 1946, at Smith Center, Kansas. The couple lived in California until Bud’s Tour of Duty was over, and they returned to Shelton and made their home.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susanne “Sue” Carlson and Stephanie (Steven) Haase; grandchildren, Lisa, Angela, Tracy, Kim, Robert, Jessica, Josh, Jodi, Jason and Justin; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her parents; daughters, Sharon Williams, Sandra Sherard and Sheila Williams; granddaughter, Jennifer Newman; brother, Myrl “Bob” Hadenfeldt; and sisters, Wanda Hesse and Carol Hansen.
