Corrine McCartney
North Carolina, at the age of 87.
Corrine was born on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1938, in Riverton, Wyoming, to Norris and Irene (Rollings) Ibach.
At a very early age the family moved back to the Sumner area and Corrine attended, and graduated from, Sumner High School in 1956. Corrine was the second of seven children. She had two sisters, Dottie and Patricia, and four brothers, Richard (Dick), Jack, Max and Jim.
On March 1, 1959, she married Mack McCartney at Overton and together they raised three boys.
Corrine and Mack resided in Overton, Sacramento, California, Gibbon, and finally settled in Wood River in 1970. After her husband Mack’s death in 1988, Corrine remained in Wood River until 2019 when she moved to be closer to family in North Carolina.
Corrine is survived by her sons, Bill (Laurie) McCartney, of Kersey, Colorado, Jeff (Barbara) McCartney, of Hephzibah, Georgia, and David (Tonni) McCartney, of Shiloh, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard Ibach, of Sumner, and sister Patricia McDonald, of Bellvue.
Corrine’s remains were cremated and her ashes scattered in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
