Charley “Chuck” Adams
Charley “Chuck” Adams, age 81, of Lowell, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services were held Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lowell. Interment will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.
Chuck was born September 8, 1943, in Mondamin, Iowa, to Chancey and Evelyn (Chamberlain) Adams. He was raised in Modale, Iowa, where he graduated high school in 1961. Chuck then attended business college in Omaha. On May 8, 1965, he was united in marriage to Rachel Keyt. The couple made their home near Gibbon where Chuck was a mechanic. He later worked at Eaton Corporation for several years.
Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lowell.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rachel Adams, of Kearney; daughter, Jana Adams, of Cozad; grandsons, Jovi (Hanna Martin) Cervantes and Jaden Cervantes; great--granddaughters, Nova and Ivey; siblings, Louise Tietgen, of Uehling, Allen Adams, of Modale, Iowa, Blair (Bonnie) Adams, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Rena (Jim) Ford, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Francis Adams; sister, Jennie Galentine; and half sister, Blendia Cooper.
