Arlene L. Hadenfeldt
Arlene L. Hadenfeldt, age 92, of Cairo, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cairo. The Reverend Brian Wright officiated. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cairo.
In lieu of flowers, Arlene’s wish was for memorials to go to Christ Lutheran Church, Cairo Quick Response Team or the Cairo Senior Center.

Arlene was born on April 1, 1929, at home west of Cairo, to Carl and Rose Schultz. She was baptized on February 6, 1949, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith as an adult at Christ Lutheran Church in Cairo. Her confirmation verse was Acts 2:47. Arlene grew up in the Cairo area attending Rural Hall County 62 “White Cloud School” west of Cairo. She attended Cairo High School, graduating with the class of 1946. After graduating, she worked at the Roush Motor Company in Grand Island until July 1947.
On September 25, 1947, Arlene was united in marriage to Allen (Bob) Hadenfeldt at Christ Lutheran Church at Cairo. The couple lived all their married life on the present farm north of Cairo. To this union two sons were born.
Arlene was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School and was in Ladies Aid. She belonged to various card clubs and was a home maker. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, traveling, and playing cards. She attended many women’s National and State Bowling Tournaments. Bob and Arlene spent 16 winters at McAllen, Texas.
Arlene is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Peg Hadenfeldt and Bill and Shari Hadenfeldt, all of Cairo; grandchildren and their spouses, Jamie and Heather Hadenfeldt, of Cairo, Jason and Jennifer Hadenfeldt, of Cairo, John and Rebecca Hadenfeldt, of Cairo, Heath and Sara Hadenfeldt, of Cairo, Tracy Hadenfeldt and Nolan Wetzel, of Cairo, and Erika and Randy White, of North Loup; great-grandchildren, Abby Hadenfeldt, Jack, Madelyn, and Samuel Hadenfeldt, David and Tyler Hadenfeldt, Katie, Brooks, Colt and Kody Hadenfeldt, Will And MacKenzie Wetzel, and Landry, Grant and Evan White; sister, Reva Henninger, of Lincoln; brother, Delbert (Linda) Schultz, of Ravenna; many nieces and nephews; and her comfort cat, Pistol Pete.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob in 2017; and brother, DeWayne Schultz.
