Amanda Johnson

Amanda Johnson, age 44, of North Loup, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her home with her loving family by her side due to a battle with cancer.

Amanda’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 4, at the Central Valley Auditorium (Sacred Heart Gymnasium) in Greeley. Pastor Mark Middendorf will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Greeley.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. T.J. Finn and Sons Funeral Home, of Greeley, is in charge of arrangements.

Amanda Marie was born August 29, 1978, at St. Paul to Jim and Maureen (Finn) Korth. She was raised in Scotia and received her early education at North Loup then graduated from North Loup High School in 1996.

Amanda furthered her education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In 2012, she met Brian Johnson and the couple was united in marriage on December 12, 2014, at Gibbon.

Amanda and Brian made their home in Shelton until 2021, when they settled south of North Loup.

Amanda was busy raising her family and also worked in various capacities including a CNA at the Greeley Care Home, restaurant management in Kearney, and lastly at SubConn of Ord.

Amanda had a green thumb; raising plants, flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed cooking and canning, Husker sports, and camping. She was passionate about her family time, attending the kids’ activities and fun times with her friends.

Survivors include her husband, Brian, of North Loup; their children, Connor, of North Loup, Cale, of Kearney, and Madden, Mya, Olive and Jack, all of North Loup; her mother, Marueen Korth, of Greeley; and two brothers and a sisterin- law, Mike Korth and Matthew and Michelle Korth, all of Greeley; and her many friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Korth; and grandparents, Ted and Mary Florence Finn and Bob and Elizabeth Korth.
