She stayed home and raised three children and worked as a “Gopher” on the farm. As the kids got older, she cleaned houses for the elderly in Gibbon, worked at Heartland Cleaning in Kearney, sold Avon, and volunteered on the Valley Township Election Board. Her most important job was being a loving wife to her husband “Putt,” as they grew older, she was his eyes and ears. Now she will be watching over all of us from above.
Marilyn was the best cook in Buckeye Valley. Also, she enjoyed baking, playing cards, shopping, diamond painting, and doting on her grandchildren. She looked forward to attending their events. Marilyn was willing to visit with anyone and never met a stranger.
