Anna was born November 8, 1932, in Shelton to Edward and Ethel (Jones) Oliver. She grew up on a farm south of Shelton with four sisters and six brothers. She was a graduate of Shelton High School. Anna was united in marriage to Elwood “Lynn” DeLaet on March 16, 1952, at Bethel EUB Church northwest of Gibbon and resided in Kearney until they moved to Lexington in 1962. Anna and Lynn lived in Lexington for 46 years where she was a longtime employee of the Dawson County Assessor’s Office.

While in Lexington she taught Bible School and was a Cub Scout den mother. She was a member of DAR and enjoyed volunteering at the Presbyterian Church in Lexington and is now a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kearney.

She enjoyed embroidering, quilting and as of late, ceramics. In total she made nine quilts, eight baby quilts, and countless ceramics. Her biggest love was playing cards and games with anyone that would play with her, but especially her friends.

Anna enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren and enjoyed going to as many of their activities as possible. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Doyle (Roxann) DeLaet, of Shelton, Deb (Brad) Slocum, of Gretna, Pam (Sam) Tingelhoff, of Lexington, and Lynna (David) Wilke, of The Villages, Florida; eight grandchildren; and eight and a half great-grandchildren. Ann was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynn DeLaet; and her brothers and sisters.
