Violet Joan “Vi” (Mast) Edson, age 87, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, in Frisco, Texas.

A memorial service for Vi will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Slay Memorial Funeral Chapel in Aubrey, Texas. Inurnment will follow at Slay-Bloomfield-Jones Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Rd., Valley View, Texas. Vi was born September 16, 1937, in Gibbon to Arthur Lee and Lola (DeBrie) Mast. She married Roger Lee Edson May 26, 1957, in Gibbon.

Vi is survived by her husband, Roger Edson; two daughters, Carrie Knudsen and husband Tod, of Littleton, Colorado, and Mindi Ferguson and husband Joe, of Aubrey, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dayton Mast and partner Cremmen Peters, of Badefols, sur Dordogne, France.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lola; daughter, Kristi Kizer; and two sisters, Vera Mae Dixon and Davine Farrell.
