Lois Lyons

Lois Lyons, age 78, of Kearney passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Accura Health in Kenesaw. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, April 3, at the Shelton United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be held at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.

Lois was born September 16, 1947, in Elwood to Joseph Lauhead and Elizabeth (Nelson) Ford. She was raised in Elwood and attended Elwood High School, graduating with the class of 1965.

On July 28, 1968, Lois was united in marriage to Marvin Lyons in Elwood. The couple made their home in Cozad where she worked at different nursing homes. They later moved to Lexington, Gibbon, and Shelton.

Lois enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching the Huskers, and cruising around town.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, David (Denise) Lyons; daughter, Sherry (Chris) Fuller; grandchildren, Samantha Lyons, Jaymie Lyons, Chalbie Lyons, and Sierra Fuller; great-grandchild, Kenden Agossou; brother, Richard (Mary) Lauhead; sisters, Janet Ourada, Teresa (Jeff) Volcheck, and Dorothy Naxera; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Lyons; brothers, Allen Wylie, Roger Lauhead, Mark Nelson, and Michael Nelson.
