Renee L. Mayo

Renee L. Mayo, age 62, of Grand Island, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home. A celebration of life will be held 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025, at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.

Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Renee Lynn Mayo was born May 28, 1962, in Kearney to Ray “Duffy” and Janice (Cline) Mayo. She was raised in Gibbon and spent most of her adult life in Grand Island. She enjoyed spending time with friends, playing pool, darts and karaoke.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Janice Mayo; brother, Curt (Lorri) Mayo; sister, Shannon (Mike) Weidner; nieces and nephews, Brett, Erin, Ryan, Jaden and Kylee; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, Landon, Kaleb, Simone and Layla.

Renee was preceded in death by her father; and her greatniece, Cecelia.

She had a big heart and will be missed by all.
