Patricia A. Eklund

Patricia A. Eklund, age 89, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 15, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Gibbon Baptist Church with Pastor Taylor Shippy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow the celebration of life at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.

Patricia held a master’s degree in special education and taught in Gary, Indiana, for 33 years, with a one year hiatus in 1983-1984 to teach at ECLA in Madrid, Spain.

She participated in numerous mission trips to Russia in her retirement years.

Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Pamela Eklund; son-in-law, David Jones; grandchildren, Aiden Jones, Zachery Jones, and Bee Jones; sister, Virginia Yendra; brother, Ervin J. “Buddy” and Betty Louise Stall; and 11 nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Earl J. Graves, and brother-in-law, Lavern “Bud” Yendra.
