Larry D. Weakley

Larry D. Weakley, age 78, of Kearney, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. The family will hold private graveside services at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon.

Larry D. Weakley was born April 16, 1943, in Gibbon, to David and Blanche (Gray) Weakley. He was raised in Gibbon and received his education from Gibbon High School, graduating with the class of 1962. On June 26, 1966, Larry was united in marriage to Jolene Wicht at the Baptist Church in Cairo. Larry began his career with Eaton Corporation in 1969. He retired after 34 years of employment with near perfect attendance.

Larry enjoyed fishing and camping over the years. He was an avid Husker football and Chicago Cubs fan.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jolene Weakley; daughters, Tammie Weakley and Michelle Weakley, all of Kearney; as well as many extended family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Henderson; and sisters, Rosella Richards and Joanne Weakley.
